I've been taking post bacc science classes at the state U to get my sGPA up before next cycle. I have accumulated 15 postbacc credits over the course of a year or so, 8 of them in upper level science, and all with A's. I work full time and I realize that 15 credits is not a whole lot compared to a full time student's courseload. I'm thinking about turning it up a bit next semester and taking between 8 and 11 credits of upper level science classes for a total of 23 credits or more, as my main concern with my application is adcoms not being able to see that I can succeed in science coursework. After this semester, I will have a 3.31 sGPA and a 3.57 cGPA with a 512 mcat. My trajectory goes like this: 3.0ish sGPA until senior year, 3.65 sGPA senior year and 4.0 post bacc sgpa. What do you guys think? I went to an undergrad school without a normal credit system so I appreciate any input.

I think 30+ credits (especially in upper level science classes) makes for a good amount.

I did 32 and a few interviewers complimented me on my success (I also worked full time while taking classes).

at least 30 credits. 30 equates to about 1-year FT coursework. Most say post-bacc should be 1-2 years.

What about 30 credits in a quarter system (~10 units per quarter)?? in addition to working and research as EC.

More is better if you actually do well. Thats a gamble tho. I did 60 credits in a year with research and working which pulled me out of the grave (had a 2.75gpa before starting post bacc). Im not familiar with the quarter system but whatever the case, I would not take too many credits unless you REALLY need to. It is hard as hell to get a 4.0 while taking all science, research and working. You dont want to shoot yourself in the foot and end your career.
