It's july 1st. I plan on taking the DAT sometime around September 20th.

It's not too early. If you start getting in to the range of signing up a month or less in advance, your options for dates and times start to narrow. I would go ahead and sign up now if I were you- that way you have a goal and a set date to be motivated towards instead of a "hopefully I am ready around so-and-so date".

If there's more than one time available, yes, but when I signed up all the later times (after 8:30AM) were filled up.

I just scheduled my DAT 3 days ago for August 20th. There were plenty of times still available too.

Why don't you just check on the damn Prometric site? You can never be too early to sign up.

That I'm actually going to study for this...legit.


It just scares me to death that the DAT is looking nearby.

For your own good is great to set a day and just go for it. Also when you apply for the DAT, you have to know which first 5 schools you want to apply to because scores are sent for free to the first 5 schools and anything after that is $25. Go ahead and apply--you'll be happy you did 😀

The more you push the day the more anxiety you are going to have...start to study now!

I think about 3-4 hours per day for 2 months is overkill but ill do it anyway. ill buy the books in a week and start then.
