There are 15 blanks of EC for us to fill out on the med school application. How many EC is enough, assuming we've spent 200 hours on each EC? Thank you so much. I am the first one to go to college/apply to med school in my family.

Other posters may be a bit more knowledgeable on this, but from my knowledge it isn't how many EC you have and they don't all need to be filled out. As long as the ones you use have decent enough hours and are meaningful for you then you'll be fine.

Enough for it to have made a strong impact on you and enough for you to be able to talk about in enough detail to show how it had a strong impact on you

Agreed. As long as you can talk about it in detail and express how its impacted your decision on medicine or life. However, I'm not going to act like numbers don't matter to med school committees because they do. I think people recommend 150 clinical hours personally I would aim for 200+, but thats just me. The more you get the better it looks.

I need some clarification....and also some help please 🙁 I'm new to this.
I just started working on my ECs and I feel I'm doing it all wrong. When you say how it impacted your decision on medicine, what do you mean? Like a story of some sort? Please elaborate 🙂..... Thanks in advance! 😀

I haven't actually applied yet so you're better off getting advice from someone else. However, from what I've learned I believe you just in a simple manner state why you decided to do that activity and what you got out of doing it.
