have NO interviews yet? I have gotten rejections from UCSF, UC Davis, Stanford, Pitt, Einstein, Rochester, Cornell, Vanderbilt, and Case Western, all pre-interview. I am scared as fwock right now with the "reputed" end coming near for scheduling interviews.

I feel you man. I had two interviews and it's been decades since I've heard anything from the 2 schools. The last I heard was that my file was coming up for review. Did you call your schools to inquire about your status?
You are the one who applied to a jikazillion schools right? How many more hopefuls do you have left? I know someone who was interviewed in late Feb @ some school and got into that school. So keep some hope alive. Are you working now.....? I remember you said you got laid off.

Thanks for the words of hope Mellow....yeah, i applied to like 40 schools and have gotten $hit from any of them......i am worried that calling might expedite the rejection process....but who knows....and yes, i got laid off in October but luckily got a new job last month.....but i need to get some interviews soon.......

This is off the topic but are you cute? LOL....most Justin's (if that is your real name) are pretty cute...maybe it's something about the name......who knows.

Anyway I was on the Doctoral student board earlier today and I read this guy's post about interviewing march and he got in. I am not in yet but I have hope. You can call some schools but not all....don't kill urself. I called one school and they told me I was rejected...I kinda knew it. Call the schools you think may have rejected you....NYU was my far fetched school and they rejected me pre-interview so did MCP. But I am not calling my back-up schools, I am not ready to have my heart broken.
40 schools is a lot and I think something will definately come thru, I only applied to 9 and I am peeing in my pants now wishing to hear something. I now wish I had applied to more.
If all else fails then I will retake the mcats and try try again. <img border="0" alt="[Pity]" title="" src="graemlins/pity.gif" />

Justin is my real name. As for being cute, maybe u should ask my girlfriend. Yeah, I am scared to call schools, especially my backups. I have no idea what to do to handle this horrific stress. I got no interviews yet, but all the schools that I call say that they are "reviewing" my app. Does this mean they are reviewing it as we speak or they are going to get to it or what?

imtiaz: I think it means they have looked at it at least once....I think they meet monthly or something and re-review applications. This way they can compare the old apps to the new ones......now they are just going through them to see who else they want to interview. Either that or your app is in a hold box. I think that's what happened to mine cuz I'm waiting on 13 schools....even if they don't tell you it's on hold, it probably sits in a box for weeks at a time.

Get off your lazy a$$es adcoms and look at our files!!!!!!! 😡
