How many hours do you study for DAT?
Started by Molarcule
My DAT is next Tuesday and I've been cranking 7-8 (9 hours if I am lucky) days. Has anyone reached ungodly hours of studying like 12-14 hours of studying?! I find it physically improbable. Also, WITHOUT ADDERALL!!
with like an hour break every 4-5 hours i study bout 10-12 hours a day. wake up at 9 and go to bed around 12-1ish?
I try and take naps too for like an hour.
ive been doing this since the beginning of June, and during classes i cranked about 6-7 hours a day.
oh and ive never taken that aderoll stuff before but i heard they work wonders
I'm a firm believer that adderall makes people smarter hahaMy DAT is next Tuesday and I've been cranking 7-8 (9 hours if I am lucky) days. Has anyone reached ungodly hours of studying like 12-14 hours of studying?! I find it physically improbable. Also, WITHOUT ADDERALL!!
I was averaging anywhere from about 6-10 hours a day. More than that and I just felt shot and couldn't absorb much more. As for adderall... I have personally never taken it, but a large majority of my friends swear by it. Definitely debated getting some to help me crank out those long days, but it seems like it is more of a "last minute, all-nighter" type anyway.

Wake up at 7:45.. Wash, crap, get food, get to work by 8:30.
Break at 2pm.. Workout, eat, rest a bit. Start up again for 3-4 hrs. Eat, then do 2-3 hrs more, sleep at 12. So I'm doing 10-12 hrs everyday so far. Hasn't been too bad with a break in the middle of the day. Feels almost natural... yeah.. natural...🙄

I have already written a test similar to DAT before ( OAT) and i used the same resources. So i have been studying like 4 hours a day max and its been chill. I basically know whats going on . i am a biochem major so mole calculations, Pv=nRT, Pka of amino acids, organic reactions, cell biology and abit of ecology comes to me naturally.I just gota tattoo it to my brain so i can answer questions in like 30 seconds. and PAT, is easy...easier than physics that OAT had 🙂

lol I used to do 12-14 hrs ( i took a leave of absence from work and it was during winter break)
If you can't study for the DAT without taking a drug or supplement then you are going to be an addict when you get through dental school. Taking any medication outside of it's intended purpose is not only illegal, it is dangerous.

Agreed. I was smh when my friends were taking it in HIGH SCHOOL (<-really??).

I did 12-14 hours of studying with breaks
I pulled a 22 only studying 3-4 days a week for like 6-8 hours per day. Don't kill yourselves.

I had a classmate who experienced a stroke in the middle of class because he took Adderall earlier for an exam. Scary.
