I was wondering how many hours of volunteering/shadowing is the recommended average for an addmission?

some schools don't even require it. and schools that do, have a very low minimum, like 30-50 hours just so that you have a basic understanding. If you can rack up 100, ur pretty much good to go in that aspect. Compared to GPA and DAT scores and your personal essay everything else plays a pretty minor role. It will help you stand out, but won't help you get in anywhere if your GPA and DAT scores aren't up to par.
