How many interviews are there?

I just went to a recruiting visit from pitt and if I remember correctly he said 300, but I can't quite verify that for sure.

Last year at the University of Minnesota, they interviewed 25% of the 999 applicant pool and accepted just under 10% of those 999.

Well it depends on class size and applicant pool usually but I think its safe to say very generally its usually 10% of the applicant pool which turns out to be ~250-300

pitt does it in a weird way. i believe they only have 3-4 interview sessions (maybe a few more), but each one is BIG!!!! roughly like 80+ people at a time (at least the time i went it was around that much). other schools, they sometimes they have the cap, but they will use the DAT/GPA as guidelines. If a lot of people of high gpa and DAT, they might push their minimum higher just to make the number more manageable. For the most part, you can assume that it's 1:5 or 1:10 for every seat:interview.

at the same time, keep in mind that the number of spots is not the same as the number of acceptances. UCSF for example, will accept about 140 people for a class size of 88 (with an alternate list of about 50).
For only interviewing 240 students, thats a pretty good percentage
