How many letters of recommendation?

Hey guys,
Exactly how many LORs are we supposed to submit to PASS? When programs say they want 3 I had assumed that included the Dean's letter. But I heard a classmate say he has 3 NOT including the Dean's letter... Do they really read that many letters anyway?

When you apply through the PASS you have to choose 3 letters from your list. you can choose only 3 letters for each designated program no more than that. this mean you have to include the dean's one with them as it is the most important one for all Schools and programs.

So If I already have 2 professor evaluations in, and my dean's letter, and I want to send those out, I couldn't send any more through pass anyway? So I'm good with just the 2+1?

I do not see an option to select dean's letter, if I select only 2 reference letters, third one -dean's letter will be included by default?😕

You send 3 letters through PASS and the Dean's letter is sent automatically...4 letters total

You can only submitt 3 letters to each program depending on program requirements.
Now most programs require the dean's letter which I consider it the most important one especially when it comes to class rank, college held jobs, certain awards, GPA ...etc.
Now thers is another thing called Institution Evaluation which is probably considered by many as a dean's letter of recommendation.
Unless you plan to attach your dean's letter of recommendation with that Institution evaluation then you can consider it as dean's letter, BUT the space for the MANDATORY COMMENTS in the form of the INSTITUTION EVALUATION is too limited to mention many things.

Otherwise go ahead with 3 letters of recommendation including the dean's one that is prepared for you and not just merely evaluation like that in INSTITUTION which state your GPA and Class rank.

should the recommendation letter be titled by the name of residency program or (to whom it may concern) if i'm going to apply to more than one program ,plz reply if u know
