How many letters are people going to send to USC??

Their email says "Additional letters of recommendation are optional. If you would like to
provide additional letters for consideration, they will be included in
your file. However, they will not be considered instead of your
Pre-Medical Committee Evaluation or your two letters of recommendation
from science faculty. The number of additional letters you submit will be
at your discretion, however please be mindful of the fact that the
Admissions Committee will be reading letters from over 5,000 applicants."

So I am thinking 3 or 4?
Does this sound good?
Or should I just send in 2?

I will probably send three, but all of mine are profs from USC School of Medicine. I can't see why an additional one wouldn't hurt. They probably don't want people sending in a glut of them.

I applied last year to USC, and the amount of redtape at that school is absurd. I wouldn't send anything extra, as it will likely confuse them, and delay your app. by like 6 months.

Damn AJR, so basically USC is your sure fire back up huh?

You bet your ass it is. And ghettobird is so right about the red tape. I'm suprised anything gets done at this school. 🙄

I'm sending 4. The two extras are from a philsophy prof from whom I took Bioethics and a doctor I shadowed for a quarter.
