How Many Of You Made a D, and still got in to Dschool?

Have any of ever made a D or F, and still got accepted to dental school? If so, what class was it in?!?

I got a D or F (can't remember) in Calculus III. I also got an F in my senior thesis class. I never finished writing it. I still got into dental school on the first try.

3 Fs in History, Art History, Geography in first & second year. But I killed all my science..Thats what got me in I guess

1 F Senior Project (ouch)
1 D in Molecular Bio
1 D in Biochemistry
1 F in PE Self Defense (now you know you can kick my @55)

Don't be dismayed though, I went back to school after 2 year hiatus to prove myself with straight A's in Anat, Physi, Cell Biology, and Genetics. Motivation is 90% of academia.

I've been wondering about that name for awhile too. I don't want to know the truth though, it may ruin my fantasy.

My lowest grades:

D, Chem2A, General Chemistry

C-, Retaking Chem2A

D+, Chem118C, Organic Chemistry

C, Bio1C ,Plant Biology,

C+, Chem118A, Organic Chemistry

B-, English 3, Introduction to Literature

All of these grades were in my first two years of college. My last two years my lowest grade was a B+, and there were only like two or three of those. So, basically, there's still hope for everybody (so long as you keep motivated and stay spotless for your remaining quarters, especially in the upper division sciences)! Also, I majored in English and Biology--I'm still surprised at that B- in English 3!

Yes. I definitely think being an RDH helped. I've been working for 3 years now as a hygienist. I know what working in dentistry is like first hand. I know exactly what kind of profession I'm getting into. I'm interested and committed to it. In addition to this, I've worked in the front office before (5 years total while completing my undergrad studies). As far as my screen name, I picked it because it was a spin-off of one of my favorite Russian athletes, Svetlana Boginskya and Svetlana Horkina (not sure with this spelling). Both of these Russian women are gymnasts that competed in the olympics. I also used this name before when I played Everquest with my husband, festre, on the Torvo server.
