How many people actually encountered....

I had a question about IR spec (it's pretty common). I think I also had a question about carbohydrate chemistry.

How many people had spectroscopy and biological (carbs, proteins, lipids, amino acid, etc..) questions on the actual DAT

spectroscopy, everyone at least had 2-4 on these.
Biochem stuff, some people do some dont max 2 Qs

No idea if it's on there or not but I would assume so. Carbs, proteins, lipids, and nucelic acids (I'm assuming you meant nucleic acids as amino acids are proteins..) are the four main classes of biological molecules so I can't see why they wouldn't be on there-- and in a high degree of importance. On practice DATs, I have seen questions getting as specific about the alpha and beta isomers of glucose and what the difference in these are-- and what polysaccharides (cellulose and starch) they make.

Can't see why it wouldn't be on there.

Yep! definitely. However, there are different versions of the exam. Some may not have encountered such questions while others have. Luck of the draw I suppose. In either case, cover all bases.
