I saw the topic about NYU, so I decided to make one about UF, since I am interviewing there, and I am sure more people would be able to see this.

300 instate. 20 out of state

Yup, about 4 interviews per available seat

So out of those 320... how many acceptances do you think they actually send out?

I know they have a class size of approximately 80 people.

Also, I am sure that they also have a small amount of people on a waiting list as well.

So assuming that the interview gives everyone an equal chance of 1/4 based on the seats... What are the chances of AT LEAST being put on a waiting list??

if you interview, the chance of getting put on AT LEAST the waitlist is very good... UF's waitlist is very large (much larger than it needs to be). therefore, getting the waitlist is NOT a good thing.. if anything it is a false hope of acceptance. However, as I'm figuring out... getting the waitlist was just a blessing in disguise 😉

Oh... I see. JackBaouer, can you explain? Why was it a blessing?

I figure, you didnt get into UF, and have a really good reason not to want to attend either.

i think UF is a fine program + the price is extremely attractive. but i'm happy at Maryland, and i think i'm having a better experience here than i would have at UF. face it, Gainesville is a college town and UF is an undergrad campus. i don't know about you, but after 4 years of drunken debauchery i've had enough.

anyways- i'm not raggin on UF whatsoever, i would've gone there had i been pulled off the waitlist (b/c of price)... but overall i'm happy i'm here and wouldn't change a thing! my classmates are awesome and our class is not competitive whatsoever. in addition, baltimore is a fun city.

that's my 2cents

Hey I was wondering if anyone interviewed, or knows someone that interviewed at UF this cycle with a lower QR score. My secondary app was compleated about a month ago and still no word about an interview. Plus Im a FL resident.

i interviewed sept 13th with a QR score of 15

I have a QR of 15 and will be interviewed later this month.

hey thanks for the responces... I am just anxious because my secondary app was done a while ago and still no responce from UF. I was waitlisted there last year, and I retook my DAT and did better, but my QR dropped - to a 15 also. I wasnt sure if the QR was the reason for no responce, but it seems like its not a problem.

I've heard that hobie23 knocked out a 29 on the PAT section

Hey I just got an invitation for an interview for UF but I had a quick question... For those of you that interviewed there, did you guys wear what you wore for the interview during the tour and stuff or did you leave to change?
I have a big gap until my interview but I wasn't sure if its acceptable to leave the place and such

everyone wore their suits on the tour

Unless, of course, you're me 🙂

But when your interviewer's cell phone goes off twice during the interview you feel lucky enough that you were remembered when it came time to send out the rejection letters.

If you get a UF secondary does that guarantee you a interview?

pretty much. and your info says "gainesville." they are pretty generous with interviews for FL residents and even moreso for gainesville residents/UF grads

UF received my supplemental App today..and called and gave me an interview the same day. Yay!!

Looks like the questions have all been answered, Good luck to all of you and let me know if I can help.

I am a FL resident as well and UF received my secondary on oct 15th. I stil havnt heard anything back. My friend who is FL resident as well submitted her secondary and got interview invite in 4 days. UF is usually pretty quick in inviting after you submit your secondary. It is so weird...I was expecting to hear something from them by now...

I had my secondary in for almost 2 months before they contacted me for an interview, plus I was waitlisted by them last year. got me very nervous.
