How many points did you improve your MCAT by after studying ? practice testing ? Can you improve your score dramatically ? incrementally ? not much at all ? Please tell your stories !

I took my first MCAT last year (August), 5 years since I took any of the PS courses. I studied for about 2.5 weeks, PS only, and it went badly. I was getting 27-30 on practice tests, however they were never completed in a single session.
This time (April), I studied 5-6 hours a day, 6 days a week, for 10 weeks. I used the EK set and 1001 questions in physics and ochem, my weakest subjects. Two weeks before the exam, I did AAMC practice tests every other day, in single sittings. The last week, I spent a little time here and there covering my notes, but mostly tried to relax. I think the experience helps the second time around with knowing what to expect and boosting confidence.
