How many postbacs to apply to?

Hey guys.

Unfortunately, I may need to do a postbac to improve my app.

How hard are they to get into?

How many should I apply for in order to be safe? I have about a 3.5-3.6 from UCSD.

Try the postbac forum.

And "postbac" is such a useless word. Any additional college coursework after you've received a bachelors degree is postbac work. That covers everything from taking a jewelry-making course at a CC to (arguably) getting a PhD in baroque psychosocial anthropology.

You're probably thinking of an SMP, and I'm thinking your GPA is too high for that. Except that you're in California, so there's no recipe.
