What if you apply to all the cardiology fellowship programs (>150) in the country? I know competition is fierce in desirable places, but if you are willing to relocate, shouldn't the average applicant at least obtain a spot in Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri or Oklahoma?

It makes absolutly NO difference where you apply. Each program gets about avg. of 600-800 applications for 2-4 spots. even the crappiest programs in the crappiest part of the nation!!!!!
