hello guys,

If an interviewer prompts you to ask some questions at the end of the interview, how many questions do you think it's sufficient enough? Just want to get the feel what's considering too many cuz some of you may know that I like to ask many questions 😀

Thank you guys.

I think that's something that you'll have to feel out with your particular interviewer(s) and the situation. If they don't seem in any rush to go and they generally get into a conversation with every question, I'd say they're encouraging it. Other interviewers like to have you do more of the talking, and they'll assume that if you want them to talk, you'll do it through questions. Still others may ask if you have questions as a sort of subtle closing to the conversation and you may "overstay your welcome" if you ask tons of them.

Pay attention to their attention level, how they're sitting (if they're relaxed or starting to collect your file and paperwork), and the things they've talked about during the interview. For instance, if they say they're a histo prof, that'd be a good time to ask how histo is run or something else about prof/student relationships...that sort of thing.

But if you can't read them at all, I'd say 1-3 questions is probably safe.
