Hey guys. I was wondering for those that took the beast...how many repeats did you get. I guess I'm trying to figure out whether or not to purchase NBME 11 and 12...

I took two of the more recent NBME forms and had zero repeats. Had a couple questions that looked similar. Had several questions similar to UW.

Personally, if your biggest motivation to do another NBME form is to try and catch one or two repeat questions, I don't think it's worth the few hours and $50. 🙂

I had one picture repeated. That was it. There were no question repeats on my exams.

However, doing the NBMEs prepared me well for the "style" of question that is asked (much as UW did) so it does not hurt in the least.

1 was word for word from an NBME (don't remember which one) but i'm sure there were others

and this was a q i thought was so dumb and irrelevant i didn't bother looking up the answer...

so yeah.... that sucks.

I did NBME 12. No repeated questions on my test, and I can't remember any repeated photos either.

I did way too many NBMEs and didn't get any repeats. They're still good q's and good practice...so I have no regrets.

That is smart. I had the same idea as you but only would up with 1 repeated pic (which was obvious anyway).

I did all of the nbmes and I'd say there were maybe 10 that could have been repeats. By repeats I do not mean the exact same question since that did not happen at all. They could be repeats of images, repeats of vignettes, or repeats of question stems.
