How many schools call and send no e-mail for interviews?

I am out of the country and can't get any phone calls. I'm worried some schools may call for an interview and not send an e-mail. What schools do this? Do you have a list? thanks

I don't have a list or anything, but if I were you I would email the admissions offices of any schools you are waiting to hear back from (pre or post interview) and notify them that the only way they can contact you for the time being is via email.

I do know that Wake Forest occasionally calls to set up interviews.

Please let me know, thanks

Can you set up a google voice account? That way, they can call your google phone number, and if they leave a message, you can listen to it.

Yeah, but I want to see if it would be needed (ie if any schools do this)

I don't know of any schools that call you to notify you of an interview invite. They will often call you and let you know you've been accepted, but that's more of a congratulatory thing rather than an "official" acceptance notification. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Ohio State calls for interviews, but there's an email notification shortly afterwards and it's scheduled online.

You might also get a call from a school in your area if someone canceled their interview date on short notice and the school is scrambling to find a replacement. The majority of my invites were scheduled through email or an online system though, I wouldn't worry too much about this.

University of Florida calls for interview invitations.

Sent from my ADR6400L using SDN Mobile

A few of my interviews were scheduled via phone (including UF, as mentioned above), but all of them sent an email with info once I scheduled with them over the phone

University of Central Florida always calls to set up interview dates and emails if there is no telephone contact for the interview date. As well as post-interview decisions with consistent status follow-ups are via voice or email if not accepted.

On a similar note, do any schools only send out post office mail without send an e-mail?

Yes, some schools call and some send snail mail. If you're going to be out of the country, you should arrange your AMCAS address and phone number to be something you can check or someone else you trust a lot can check regularly.

Thank you. I'm wondering if someone could list the schools which do this.
