18 schools (added a bunch once i got FAP 🙂). above 3.8/above 35.

10. All in the Northeast.

woop! northeast FTW.

Out of the people who i know applying here i think me, kokoeats, and FML might? I dont know whose applying to more then us. I did 45. I might add one more just for funsies😛.

i seem to be having an effect on you :meanie:

Isn't the stereotype of the ideal applicant a 4.0 40 ? I mean holy crap. At least you aren't applying to my top choice.

i am scared to utter the phrase "top choice." when everyone asks me where i want to go, i'm always like, "i'll go wherever i get in!" i am trying so, so hard not to let myself get attached to any one school. although i bet i'll be screwed when interviews start happening 😳

check out the polls. 16 people applied to 26-30 and 17 applied to over 31. Geez.

this is absurd, is the average # of schools applied to really over 20? anyone care to add the # applications / total applicants using MSAR?

WTF! I mean really WTF?

Well, I applied to 26 the first time, and despite some fun clinical experience, good research, publications, and okay grades and MCAT I didn't get in (unless Penn State calls me sometime in July). I don't want to waste another year if I can possible avoid it. So I'm applying to as many as I can complete while putting in a good amount of effort for each application. I would do more, but I don't think I can do more than 55ish to 60 realistically... 26 was bad enough.

3.9/35 ---> 10 schools. Mostly schools midwestern schools. A couple safeties, a couple reaches, mostly schools I'm hopefully competitive at. It all comes down to the $$$, though. I don't know how you people can afford to apply to 15+ schools. Goodness!
