6 schools to start with. I still haven't finished one of the secondaries (I may not send it in). I decided not to send in secondary for one of the schools for sure.

Applied to 7, only completing 6. (Had NYCOM for some reason; don't want to go there)
I chose on geographic region. None of my schools are north of VA. Plus I'm poor and can only afford to apply to a handful.
