how many "throw out" questions on Comlex II

Do they throw out questions with every exam? Is there any way to find out how many? I read an old post about this & it discussed aspecific number of questions that year and even which booklet. How would anyone know that?

They wouldn't unless they were in the group grading and going over tests. They may say "my brothers girlfriend is sleeping with this guy who is cousin's with someone that's on the board and she said that in book 2 there were 75 questions thrown out..." Truely who knows how they do it. "Rumor" has it that they throw out some...not sure how many. Sometimes you may think you came up with a question or 2 that HAVE to be throw outs or "testing" questions because in your discussions with fellow test takers, you had the question, they didn't. Otherwise we just sit back and hope that we get the ol' 400!!!

rumor has it, and of course it is just a rumor I once heard, that on the COMLEX, there are some (very few) "test questions" That is, questions that do not count, the test designers just want to see how the students answer. If these "test questions" were mostly answered correct, then the test designers can assume that it is a fair question and can be placed on future exams.
