I heard that max is 3.
but can u take more than 3?
what if you take the exam and decide not to send the score? does it still count?
what if you took the test 3 times and sent the score to let's say school A, but u never sent score to school B, then does school B still accept ur 4th,5th, and 6th score?

i am not saying i will take that many times but i am just asking in curiousity.

you can take it as many times as you want. 10 or 20 times if you have to, but i think you will do fine in your first or second dat. schools will look at each dat you took.

i believe they [AADSAS/ADA?] changed the rule to 3 is the max. so even if you didn't send them to school B..or C..or whatever it won't matter, because you get three chances to take it.

Starting in 2007, you can only take the test 3 times. If you want to take it more than 3, you need to get special persmission from the ADA. Once you take your test, it will be kept on file. So if you don't send it to some schools one year, but send new scores next year, that school will see all DAT's that you've taken, so basically, any school you send your DATs to will see all of your previous scores. Plan on taking it once and that's it. I've never heard of anyone studying 2 yrs in advance, which means you should ace the thing.
