How many times do you check your email each day?

Now that I know people are receiving interviews (although they might be DO, not MD yet...) I'll probably reach quadruple digits

I got an email with "Interview" in the title and almost had a heart attack until I realized it was from Trinity
When you see an email about an interview but it just turns out to be trinity:
271282

I check my email quite a bit just as a part of daily life. I'm about a year and a half out from my application season, so I imagine then I'll be checking even more frequently lol.

I downloaded an extra email app just for my AMCAS/AAACOMAS email and enabled push notifications for that app so I could distinguish between personal emails and application emails. Also, I recommend checking your spam folder at least once daily

Do they require that individuals are complete? Or have they been sending out IIs based on stats alone?
All interview invites will be sent after secondaries are complete. I believe that to be true across all institutions.

During my app, I created a separate gmail account for anything related to my application. A lot easier to know when schools sent secondaries, IIs, etc. when it wasn't bogged down by other (less important) emails.

You must also check the applicant portal of each school at least every 2 to 3 days to see application status until you are complete and in review. Last year there were some schools that did not send emails but rather notices on the student portal. This is when being OCD premed matters

Yeah, don’t worry. I’m neurotic enough. I check the portals way more often than I care to admit.

It's like checking your phone hoping he/she has texted back....theynever will
🙁
Keep your hopes up. Schools have not really started to send out interviews aside from TX, DO, and like 3 AMCAS schools...Chin up.

Also, to make yourself feel even better, check your email in Outlook - WHEN you get anything with a 'congratulations' outlook puts confetti on the email. Nice little surprise.

And even at the early tx amcas and do schools it’s stil insanely early

Do schools also send interview invites only via their portal? Or will II’s always be sent via email?

Some schools will send invites only by portal. Do not, repeat, do not assume that you will always be notified by email.
I would also advise applicants that cannot, repeat, cannot assume anything unless it is confirmed. For example, simply because you have assigned LOR in AMCAS, until you see them confirmed in each school's applicant portal

you own your application and it is up to you to be on top of it always. You are the one that will suffer if something isnt in your file
So does that mean some schools don’t send an email invite to complete their secondary? And I should be going to schools who haven’t sent one yet to see if there’s a way to create a profile on their portal and complete the secondary?

I'm glad you suggested this. I just logged onto one of my portals and realized I had everything complete (including paying the secondary fee) on 7/4. The only thing I missed was hitting the submit button :smack:
