How many typos are allowed?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It really depends on the typo. Spell the wrong word wrong and your app can be done in one, such as if you somehow accidentally slip in some profanity or vulgarity care of a typo. And it really depends on who is reading your paper- if they're a grammar Nazi, you might be in trouble after one.

I copied and pasted to AMCAS from a word document and must have not completely copied the essay because I noticed about 4 months later that my essay just stopped in the middle of my second to last sentence.

Still got interviews at most places I applied, so I would say everybody just so their best and all will be well 🙂

Literally my worst nightmare right here.

Just read over my PS today for some reason and noticed a typo. Based on this, I probably have 5-6 typos that I haven't found yet.

If I can't find them, I just hope the adcoms can't either.

There's no "allowed" defined for mistakes*...they're just a reality that most people will understand, depending on the specific circumstances of each. They're not going to be like "3 typos in the PS are fine, but 4 and they'll never be a doctor!"

*with the exception of the grade input section, where you are in fact allowed a specific number of errors in verification before they make you correct it yourself and re-submit at the back of the queue

Sent from my phone, I apologize for any typos or brevity.

Ideally 0 typos but we are all human. So how many typos are we given before an application gets taken not seriously?
How would an answer to this question be in any way useful to you?
