how many years are the ndb scores valid?

hi evrybody,
i am new to this forum,i hope someone can answer my question

i wanted to know for how many years are the ndbe scores valid?
is it ok if i take my ndb exams now and apply for adv. standing program for foreign dentists, after sometime, maybe 2-3 years
or would it be better to wait till i am ready to apply for the program and then start studying for the national boards

would the school consider scores of 2-3 yrs back, or do they want new scores...

plz reply with your suggestions as i am very confused...

(1) Examination in writing which shall be comprehensive and
sufficiently thorough to test the knowledge, skill, and competence of
the applicant to practice dentistry, and both questions and answers
shall be written in the English language.
The written examination may be the National Board of Dental
Examiners' examination or other examination, but in no event shall
the examination given to foreign-trained applicants be a different
examination than that given to applicants who have met the
requirements of subdivision (b) of Section 1628. A foreign-trained
applicant who passes the written examination shall be permanently
exempt from retaking the examination.

ivorinedust post applies only to California boad, but not to other dental boards nor schools.

doctortooth, some advanced placement programs require applicants to take the NDBE within 5 years of application. While some others don't care. So it pretty much depends on where you want to go to school.
