How many years exactly are DAT scores good for?

I REALLY need info on this, cause I took the DAT some years ago and want to reapply. Unfortunately, I've been getting all types of information from different people, so it would help to get actual factual numbers. Thanks.

3 years, but I noticed for UCSF is 2 years

Basically, if you're applying and your DAT score is over 12months from the day of your interview, you need to take it again. People have reapplied with scores from the previous years and been told they are "old meat" and not taken as seriously. Dont give them a reason not to accept you. There are plenty of candidates with similiar GPAs and recent DAT scores, make sure you give them everything they want in every category.

Plus if you retake it, it helps to demostrated your point that you are serious about returning to school and serious about dent school.

Just my 2cents 🙂

If a student is reapplying, does he need to resend his DAT scores to all of his schools? Or once the school has them on file, they're on file for the next cycle?

My hunch is that you will need to resend them to the schools, although you might want to contact your schools to see if indeed any of them hang onto you old file after the cycle has ended.
