Sorry for this potentially dumb question, but I was wondering how many programs people here applied to. If you could list your stats (gpa, pcat, etc) as well, that would be helpful. Thanks!

I applied to 8 this time around, figuring it will get me in somewhere... but only time will tell

Here is some old data about the number of PharmCAS applications that were sent along with any offers received. Do note that this data is a little old and that the data does not include non-PharmCAS participating institutions but it should give you some idea about the distribution of applications per pre-pharmacy student.

Applications for 2005 Entering Class

P.S. Somebody submitted forty-two applications but did not get one acceptance. Ouch.😳

Are you gathering this information for someone else? From your other posts, it doesn't sound relevant to you.

Someone wanted to go for the pharmcas record. I bet he didn't even meet the minimum GPA of all those schools. Well the jokes on him because he just spent like 5000 or so dollars applying.

And am I reading that right? Majority of people only have 1 school they chose for pharmcas?

thanks for the helpful responses!

@knickerbocker, I am gathering this info for someone I know who is interested in studying pharmacy. His school does not have good advisors, so I was trying to help him by getting some advice on here.

Perhaps he could register. It usually is more informative if you do your own research. Nothing against you, but I'm a big advocate of self-education. Especially in regards to things that affect my own future.

The situation is more complicated than that, but thanks for sharing your opinion.
