How much did you spend on 4th year costs?

As a rising 4th year, I heard a lot of people get overwhelmed with the hidden costs of 4th year (Traveling for Step 2 CS, away rotations, ERAs applications, residency interviews, double rent after graduation and moving, relocation costs, etc.). How much did you spend 4th year on these extra costs that schools might not factor into their COA?

Right now, I have about 10k set aside for everything I just listed but feel as if I will need more. I am planning on going into anesthesia and doing an away rotation on a different coast than I am currently at.

Between 2 aways, step 2, ERAS, and interviews I spent about 12k

I budgeted 10k and probably only needed half that if you include steps as well as interview costs. But it also depends on what you’re applying into - I didn’t do aways or couples match, both of which could drive up costs considerably.

I couples matched and in total, counting step exams, applications and interviews I spent around 4,000 to 5,000
