How much do Fall grades count (for entering 2007 class)

Hi I was just curious because I have a really steep upward trend but its leveling this quarter (I really feel that the applications process negatively affected my grades..). I was wondering how big of an effect this will have on my apps. I have two interviews next month.

the interviews should be blind ones, so they won't have that information anyway. if you are applying to schools that don't require the pcat, it could make a big difference. on the other hand, if the school does require the pcat and you've done well on that, a small change in your gpa probably won't mean that much to them.

I'm actually not anticipating that huge of a change in my GPA (because my second session summerschool grades will offset this quarter), its just there will be no rise in my GPA.

Winter Quarter my gpa went from a 3.34 to a 3.40 then it went to a 3.43 after spring quarter then it went to a 3.45 after summer session 1.

I guess I just didn't realize fall grades were really THAT important, not that I'm being a total sloth this quarter, its just I really think the whole applications process was stressful and tiring at times (I applied to 8 schools).

Anyone else have similar concerns or have their own opinion?

Well if you get accepted at either of those two interviews you have, as long as you pass the reqs for the schools, you should still get in.

I got accepted last year, in the fall, on a contingency that I passed two of the pre reqs, in the spring I still had a seat. As long as you have the plan to complete and pass the reqs, you should have no problem.

Oh well the thing is I've been accepted to one school, but I have three interviews next month, so they WILL see my fall grades before they make a final decision. 😕
