Hello, i am from around Chicago area. i am planning to apply to all the Pharmacy-schools that are here, i think about 7-8 schools. anyways, my main concern is that i have got few Cs- in chem112, Calulus, Orgo 2, and A&P 2.
my GPA by the time i will apply will be 3.2 and Science will be 3.0. i am planning to take PCAT this September. what do i need to get on my PCAT to atleast get accepted to one school since i have 4 Cs and i will be applying as non-major student. what are my chances of getting accepted to any school? Also, any tips on how to study for PCAT will be appreciated. Thank You.

I really don't know because theres a lot of things that get factored in with things like, do you have experience in the field?.... have you volunteered anywhere?... what's your PCAT score like?... I would say that only a few people might know in this whole forum but it all really depends with the class that you're applying against and what they bring to the table. Best thing to do is just get some pharmacy experience in because that would only help you out, granted thats if you can and I'm not saying because of that you'll get in but it will better your chances.

It's not just the Cs and your low GPA that will hold you back. You're also going to need a really good proofreader.

Bring your best to the table. Then you won't have to worry about questions like this.

As for the PCAT, buy the practice tests and study what you don't know. Really be prepared. Study until you are getting over 90% consistently on practice tests. Your GPA doesn't indicate you are a solid student so your PCAT will be much more important.

C's wont hurt you. I got Cs in physics 1, chemistry, organic 2 (retook and got a B-), and biochemistry (after I got accepted). I applied to only one school and got accepted. To be honest, Pharmacy school seems like a joke now, where anyone can get in..

on the other hand, if it was not a joke, you did not get in 🙂
