How much does DAT cost exactly for 18+ schools?

I am regerstring for DAT, and its asking which schools to select to send report to otherwise it will be $25/school after.

I am not 100% sure which school I want to go, so can I just check all the dental schools on there? Also is the report sent to dental schools for free when registering for the DAT ?

It will cost you $25 per school that you select (above 5 schools) right now. However, after you take the DAT and you want to send to other schools, it will cost you $75 per school.

edit: Selecting 18 schools and selecting all of them still give me a total of $340 regardless?

Edit 2: I only selected 3 schools and total is only $320....is there something wrong here?

Depends on what your scores will be. If they are good, no need to send them to all. If they suck, you will need to carpet bomb them all

It says on their site (when sigining up):
The fee for Dental schools not selected at the time of application is $25 per report.

Where are you getting $75?

um, i registered for DAT yesterday and i selected ALL the schools to be sent to

total was $320



but on AADSAS i will prolly apply to like 10 schools though, my pre-dent advisor said when registered for DAT you can select as many schools as u want cuz its gonna be $320 regardless

If I remember correctly, my DAT scores were sent for free last year...I just paid the AADSAS amount for schools...

but if it was, they didn't even mention this when clicking the school selection. and if it is 25 perschool, why would total be $320 ?

Registered for the DAT yesterday. Before I heard ppl say that the 1st 5 schools are free and you have to pay the extras. I think the rule changes...I select like 18 schools and it charged me $320. I think after you took the DAT and decided to send it to schools other then the ones you picked when you register then you have to pay extra....

Thats what it sounded like to me too, if this the case I dont see why someone wouldnt just select ALL the schools since its the same price anyways.

32 schools $320. It says they are all included initially but if you change any later it will be $25 per school.

WAIT i had the same question!!!... turns out u can choose all the schools you want on the application and you wont pay a single cent. You only pay 25$ per school if you decide to add more schools after you hand in your application.... be smart and choose all the schools get your moneys worth... if you don't believe me call the AdA... they'll verify 👍

The process changed. last year it was 1st 5 schools selected @ time of registration was free. after that each school costed 25, regardless of when you decide. But it was only 225.

this year or at least sometime late last year. it became a flat fee of $320 for as many schools @ the time of registration. Anything after that is extra $25.

When this came up last year I was one of the few people that was shocked they went to this as it is a huge money maker for them. postage, ink,paper, envelope, water(dry mouth from licking envelopes) run at best 1 buck. next to zero if it was electronic.

So since they they allowed as many schools as possible I checked off every one of them, including Puerto Rico by accident even though I have no intention of applying to everyone of them.
