for all practicing dentists,

how much interaction is there on a daily basis at work? i know patient interaction is very little, considering weve got their mouths wide open hehe.

but what about working with staff? you have the hygienests and other dentists for those who work in large practices. i just ask because i currently work in an ER and i see the many interactions physicians and nurses have with one another and their patients. and i personally am one
who relies significantly on interaction with people in order to get through my days. im very social and outgoing. put me in a room all alone and ill go crazy! lol

so all you dentists out there-whats the interaction level out there? 🙂

It depends on who you are working with. If you work alone, then there will be less. However, it's also dependent on your staff. When I was in community health, we were cracking jokes in the back office. I laughed so loud I almost cried many times. The people I worked with were a lively bunch. We had colorful personalities in our clinic - people who were catty, worked at hooters on the side, etc.
