bump..

anyone? How about big cities in general?

i have heard 120-130 hr plus full benefits

our attendings in the city are usually around 130 + bennies, in the burbs usually 150+ bennies to start.

In south bend those guys are making 3-400k per yr starting out.. ucan just do the drive.

look at salary.com. zip code 60647: median salary $255k

yes. i know. i'm talking hourly rates, as in 130/150 dollars per hour. with 12 12 hour shifts a month this lands exactly in the 255-260k range.

most docs work 15 days or so a month to bump this up to 300k.

135ish per hour

I'm still interviewing, but it's ranging from 190K per year + up to 10% bonus for an academic position (13 9-10 hour shifts/month) to a community position that is $143 per hour plus bonus that may = $200 hour (suburbs). The norm seems to be $130-$140 per hour for near suburbs. One of our former residents worked in Waukegan making something like $250 an hour as independent contractor, but the pace sounded crazy. 3 - 4 patients per hour.

You can make more $ easier in other states, but it's a great city.

$4, hot hand in game of dice.

Otherwise there is always shaking your moneymaker.

Between 250K to $320K for 40h a week depending on where you work.
