How much questions about plants (structures mainly, I understand cyclic/noncyclic photophosphorialtion) and classifications such as kingdoms (Plante, Animila, Fungi), etc... are on the DAT?

My classes usually skipped over these sections so I am having a hard time going through it.

Thanks

you should expect to see a few, although theyre likely to be somewhat basic. additionally, you should know classifications at the phylum level, at least for animals and plants.

I think the material presented in either cliffs or barrons is enough to adequately cover you in these areas, although you might wanna do a bit of extra research on evolutionary trends, nothing too crazy but just to brush up on the what/when/whys of the basics.

very nice thnx for this!

So just a overview about the main kingdoms should suffice

That depends on what you call an "overview." Looking back, I'd say that memorizing all the fungi and plant phyla and characteristics of them was probably unnecessary, but you should know all the animal phyla, example organisms of each (there's a few model ones that every book talks about), and their basic characteristics. A typical DAT question on this might ask you to name the characteristics of chordates, for instance.
