I was just accepted of the WL at a Texas school (School 2). I also hold a position at another Texas school(school1)and I am to begin this summer.

My question is: I am considering accepting the offer from the school I was WL but also do not want to withdraw my position from my current school until its all set in stone. How much time is ideal(allowed) before I have to withdraw from either school?

**I know this is a time sensitive issue since I am holding two spots and one could go towards another candidate.

I believe schools are supposed to give you 5 days to decide

@Jav116 hi! I believe you have a certain amount of days to accept the offer from school 2 (it should be in their acceptance email - it's usually 2 weeks but due to summer it may be shorter). Once you have accepted the spot, you have a guaranteed spot at that school - there is no way that can change. I'm assuming you ranked school 2 above school 1 for match day? In that case I think once you accept school 2's offer you'll be withdrawn from school 1 (but I could be incorrect...I hope someone else can clarify this). As you mentioned, this is a sensitive issue and the June 1st deadline for students already accepted at 1 TX school and on other waitlists is rapidly approaching so I'm sure many people (myself included) would appreciate a hasty decision 🙂! Best of luck and congrats on your acceptances!!!
