How much time on UCSF secondary?

I am trying to force myself to work on my UCSF secondary right now but the essay questions are slowing me down. Should I spend a lot of time answering the questions and turn it in later or should try to finish it and turn it in as soon as possible? How important is the secondary compared to the other parts of the application??

Dude, same boat. It's been taking me FOREVER to do the essays. I'm just doing the best I can on them since my stats aren't that great. I'll probably send it in the next few days, about a week before my deadline. JUST DON'T MISS THE THREE WEEK DEADLINE!!

yaa ai found the space limit to be a problem lol....had to really figure out how i wanted to come off.....i think i did ok....just dont say anything cliche....and do ur best....have someone look over it for u real quick cuz somtimes ull subcon. correct ur own mistakes. gluck guys

yeaa i thought their community service question was pretty hard to answer...
ucsf is kinda frustrating because theres no way for you to check the status of your application haha

I did my secondary all in one 3 hour sitting the day that I got it and sent it in the next day, another person in my class who also was accepted took all three weeks to do it and sent it in the last day it needed to be post marked. So I am not sure if it matters how long you wait, personally I wouldn't wait, but that was just me...

Spend lots of time on it. We're looking for certain traits in our students, and some of those traits are reflected in the secondaries. If we don't see what we want to see on the secondaries, well...then no soup for you!

And be HONEST on your essay, i know someone who lied on their secondary, being questioned by the interview the time he went to Jamaica (the interviewer is from Jamaica), he did not get in.

Has anyone recieved confirmation that their secondary app was received and their app is complete? I have no way of knowing. I saw that my check was cashed, but i don't know if it was for UCSF or UCLA since they are both made out to UC Regents.
