35 percent finish their BS or BA in 4 years. We all know how much time it takes to go into a bio degree or chem degree, my question is how long did it take you to finish whatever BS or BA degree.
😕 Is that supposed to mean that they should be longer or shorter than average?

I'll finish my Bio degree with two minors in four years...less if I'd taken a few more hours each semester. It's possible...not sure why the stats are so low.
Six years, with a major change after sophomore year.

hmm but you switched majors so your 6 years isnt really 6 years towards the bio degree...I have another question to you guys finishing in 4 years how many science classes are you taking a semster, also if you are taking summer classes let me know.
Probably will take me 5. I got 2 more years till I apply.
Expected 4 years, B.S. in M.E. + bio / chem classes
My BA in Chem will take 5 years (could have made it 4 but added on three minors 😀)
I am staying at my university for all four years, but if you only count the classes that go toward a degree, I would say 2.5 years for 2 majors.
I think most people take fun classes on the side so it's really hard to gauge how much time it would take just for the degree alone.

I'm on track for 4 years. Almost all of my major and minor classes are done, I just have a whole bunch of gen eds to finish up senior year 🙂
If I wanted to I could graduate in 3.5 years, BA in chem and minor in biology. Although I'm set to grad in 4 years easily
i see, how many sci classes do you take a semester
Usually about 4-5 science and then 2-3 for my psych major.
My school actually doesn't let you stay past 4.5 yrs so we have to cram a lot of classes in.

thanks for the informative post and the strong evidence behind your infallible conclusion
I think that regardless it should not take more than 4 years to finish an undergraduate degree (BS or BA). However, this can vary a little bit in the sense that it should not take one 4 years to finish a degree that only requires 90 credits (including graduation requirements from the school/state).
A poll would be cool for this type of thread 🙂
And to answer your question: I'm finishing a BA in 3.5 years.

you're an idiot
it's about a 57% graduation rate in 6 years for 4 year institutions and about 35% in 4.
