How much in the way of biostatistics, public health and epidemiology do you need to know for STEP 1
I ask this because I attempted some MCQs and one popped up that was really hard and related to some weird statistical theorem.
Got me a bit worried as I haven't really covered statistics at all in great depth.

if at all possible, get the kaplan usmle step 1 book for biostats. i did the practice questions at the back of each chapter for this subject and knew the equations in first aid cold and everything seemed straightforward come test time. even a convoluted biostats question is probably targeting some basic equation manipulated in some way.
