WOW! I only had to pay $100 to hold my spot at OSU-COM and they haven't asked for anything else yet.
Only $100 at UMDNJ-SOM as well.
NYCOM is $500 within 2wks of acceptance then $1000 by May 1st or June 1st, depending on when you were accepted. Mine is due by May 1st. Also, non-refundalble..ugh! 😛 Sucks because I am waiting for my 1st choice, AZCOM, to make their decison..should come this wk or next!

It has been sent! I will be calling tomorrow to make sure it was recieved. It takes forever for them to get my mail. I love AZCOM..but I really like NYCOM too..either way I will be happy! 🙂 I'm just happy I am IN! 😀

wow, seems like most of these schools ask a huge amount of $$$ as a deposit. maybe its their way to prevent people holdin multiple acceptances
WOW, $2000 That's about the same for carribean schools. A friend of mine was asked to pay $2000 down for Ross University in Dominica, But he couldn't so they let him settle for a $1000 down.

i got in to azcom in october so i had to pay a $250 deposit in feb (i think), then a $750 deposit by march and a $1000 deposit in may. this is all refundable if you let the school know early enough that you won't be attending. I am almost positive that all deposits go toward tuition stuff so that helps somewhat :wink:
mbenavidez-- good luck on getting in to azcom!! i just deferred this year bc my wife is having triplets-- they have been super understanding about it. The dean just laughed what ever that meant 🙂 who knows, maybe they'll give you my spot!

UHS was $1000--the first $500 was due two weeks after receiving your acceptance letter. The other $500 was due two weeks or so after that. I just sent all of it at once, since I had some extra money left over from school this year.
That is friggin high though as well.
I guess it is the price to pay to become a doctor!

I am extremely impressed Jhug's love of AZCOM. I wish you LOL next fall when you join AZCOM's class of 2007.

Yeah, I will be attending UHS also and had to pay $1000. I was accepted late and I don't know about you guys, but it was financially draining for me to pay $1000!!! I had to get the last $200 from my church. I think anything over $500 is a bit much.

AZCOM was everything i dreamed my medical school to be (that sounds so cliche-ish)-- so i guess you could say i'm love with the place. If they are going to take me where i hope/want to go, i guess i need to be thoroughly impressed 🙂

TUCOM asked for a $2000 deposit two weeks after my acceptance letter was dated, and anotehr $1000 by May 15th. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> I'm just glad that the 3K counts toward my tuition, otherwise I would be in a sh*tload of trouble! :wink: 😀
