KBB says that the DAT exam is administered almost any day of the year, but can you really take the exam literally any day of the year? That is, can I sign up to take one administered tomorrow? Also, what times of the day are they usually held?

http://prometric.com/default.htm

pick "american dental assoc." under academic, professional,...

you'll be able to look up the testing locations, dates, times, etc. from there

They are basically being held any day of the year, the only issue is that the prometric testing centers within driving distance of you will fully book tests so the next available date may vary. I waited til like 4 days before I wanted to take my test before booking it lol, and had to book it a few days after.
