Perhaps that is because you are wise beyond your years as you acknowledge that the good Chuck Norris is the provider of all things good and just.

COWS, you are just 20?...wow....you'll have so much time earning money and enjoying life...good for you that you decided what you wanted early on..people like me had to go though a long journey to decide....sad but oh, well...such is life...some people have creative guidance in their lives ....others like me find their way a bit late.... 👍

anyway, whether you're 20 or 30, we're about to enter one the greatest and most secure professions out there...

peace to everyone
Yeah I am 20. After I moved from Australia I kinda skipped a grade in order to start in high school in the US. Plus I also did my undergrad in 3 years which was another bonus. I knew I wanted to be a dentist since my junior year of high school and so have been working to become one as soon as possible. To bad we can’t finish d-school earlier too. Hope I don’t get tagged the child of my class because of my age. That’s a killer when on the look out for the ladies. :meanie: :meanie:

Geesh-
Ya'll make me feel a little old...

my 27 (almost 28) years of experiece does come in handy 🙂

Cowsie wowsie! 😱 I thot you were a girl! 🙁 I guess that leaves PickMe and Coral as the only other girls on SDN going to Penn in the fall. 🙂
In response to your post, hey, you can always date the undegrads if the dental chicks give you a hard time. 😀 Another plus for Penn's 'integrated' campus.

Who's Coral???

There's more than one Coral going to dental school this year?

I've never even met another Coral...let alone a dentist to be...

Aww man!!

I'm disappointed now. 🙁

I am 26 and will turn 27 few days after the classes at IU start (provided I get in there first). I do agree that some life experiences will come handy in dental school.

I'm 20, will be 21 by the time I start D-school at UMDNJ BABY! Believe it or not, I did get a lot of crap for being "young" at some of my interviews. I guess I never thought it would ever count against me lol. But ladies (especially those at NJDS), please dont let this minor little detail deter you from giving it a shot 😉

Dude, you're 30? I had no idea. Didn't think you were that old. I'm not far behind at 28 though. Time to get going! I always thought I'd be done with school at this age, not just starting graduate school. Better a little late than never though.

Right now I am 29, but will be thirty when I get into D-school. I a starting to feel old with all the 22 year olds, I thought undergrad was bad! I am lucky to be getting in thie year though, considering only two years of college. I think they took pity on me for being older, that or cause I can carry a gun!

22 will be 23 when I start dental school though...

21, male and just graduated from college. Is this considered young among applicants?

19, just about to be 20.

Will apply for dental school next year and would have to enter when I am nearing 22. 🙁

Oh well.

Some of you guys are just over achievers.

What is up with 20 year old's saying they are in the class of 2010? That means the entering class? I could not imagine you mean the graduating class.

19 now...applying in 3 years

i'll be on this forum for a long time

Putting the cart in front of the horse, especially when the DAT has not been completed.

I know you like thinking you are some thread necromancer, but why the hell do you raise up old threads and confuse the hell out of everyone?

Now I know why the person can be 20 and will be graduating in 2010, that is because they posted in 2006.

Reviving old threads for no other purpose but to put a laughing smile expression is the basic definition of trolling, and I don't know why they let you get away with. Especially since a large deal of your posts are NOT helpful.

wow.. i really respect some of 20 yrs old ppl already getting accepted into a dental school... I am 20 yrs old and a sophomore in college..... Woah..

How would that confuse you? I'm really sorry if it did. Next time I'll put a disclaimer that Shingo may be confused.

As for bring up an old thread, if you haven't noticed, it's an interesting topic. So interesting, they made another topic for the 2010 group (if you didn't notice)!

How did it confuse me? I just explained how. Usually people are not used to clicking on a thread that is 3+ years old.

How is it interesting when it is no longer relevant? There is a good chance that most of these people are not even frequenting these boards.

If you take a look, you will notice that any time someone revives a thread people get confused and respond to ancient posts and ask questions that may no longer be relevant.

So if you must revive old threads, putting a disclaimer would probably be a good thing.

How is it no longer relevant? Does ones age when they enter dental school change? People seem to like the idea as they continue to respond.

I wonder how many people realize this thread is from 2006?

This thread is no longer relevant because it is FOR THE FREAKING ENTERING CLASS OF 2006!

So anyone who responds to this thread is telling us how old they are when they will be entering dental school of 2006.

Plus the age of students entering dental school does change.

You suck at using forums, go learn on some other forum, and I promise you reviving old threads will not be appreciated.
