Hey guys

I wanted ur opinion about USPS.I am planning to send my applications via USPS ( as its cheap compared to FED ex) but is it reliable?Fedex is charging almost four times.

Would appreciate ur inputs.

I sent all my apps & other related docs thro USPS certified mail.
And they reached the schools within 3-5 days.If u r in a hurry, u can try priority mail which is a lot expensive than first class.
Certified mail is supposed to track the package and let u know online the delivery confirmation. Only twice, I could get the tracking information.I could not track Upenn's & San Antonio's but I called up the schools and found out that it had reached them.
Jus to be on the safer side, u can attach a return receipt to ur apps so that if they cannot deliver the package, they will return it to your home address.(Atleast it wont get lost!)

hello,
i sent my application via USPS, but i asked for delivery confirmation( i was able to check online the status and they sent me an email when it was delivered); it's a little bit more expensive,maybe 3 or 4 times the usual price) but you're sure that your envelope got there safe and in time;
good luck!

Hello, Doc!

So far seven application packages I sent via USPS were successfully delivered to the Universities... It took about 2-5 days for delivery. I paid about $4 per one mailing (Priority mail with Delivery Confirmation).

thanks rtvj and starry night.

A big relief it is coz i already sent it.Hopefully it reaches on time.I think i can track it.

good luck to both of u!
