Originally posted by Chankovsky In general, do schools consider the most recent mcat score? I've heard that some take the highest score in each section from all your mcats.
I have taken the MCAT twice. The schools I interviewed with looked at both scores but concentrated on the most recent. They did say in one of my interviews... "You improved your score, how did you go about doing that?"
I think it is rare that schools would pick out your best scores from the tests you have taken. Most only look at your scores together for each test you have taken.
I have to agree with Amy B. I have retaken the MCAT and those that did talk about my MCAT score were intrested in how I improved my score vs the best score from each section spread over the tests. Most smiled and said "good for you" and that was it.
Well, I have a good friend that has taken the MCAT FOUR times. Even if she scores over 30 on the fourth MCAT, do you think Adcoms would look down on her? I'm just worried because she's applying next year and I just want her to get into her top choices.
