hey guys, I just thought it'd be kinda nice to tell ya'll how I feel like SDN has change my life. I mean, you rarely think a webpage can change your life. but I mean, honestly, I feel like it's been the best single resource for being pre-med. I've advocated it to all my friends. I definately think that it's attributed a great deal to my acceptance. So to you newbies, use it and tell your friends. The fact that I got my ipod stuff today (i dunno how many of you keep up with my signature on here) but the fact that I got it, I attribute to SDN too. So tell us how it's affected you? I'd love to hear some stories... and for those of you that remember my drunken holla thread... HOLLA~!~

ps... for those of you keeping track of the the NCAA.. GO CARDS!

It has affected me by making me the most neurotic person that I know. I have SDN to thank for my high blood pressure, insomnia, and obsessive-compulsive behavior.

But I still love it 😀.

It's affected me by lowering my self-esteem exponentially. 🙁

Ironic as it might be...Because of SDN, I am no longer virile.

I wish...I had discovered SDN either before I took the MCATs (then maybe I'd have a better conception of what it took to get into med school) or not at all...b/c it really is a waste of time.

on the other hand, I love the smilies 🙂. they're so much better than the ones on AOL IM. 😉 😛 😡 🙄 😀 🙂 😍

You're addicted to SDN, huh? 😉

To the OP, I'm really glad I found out about sdn too, especially the interview feedback because they calmed my nerves alot. And it's great, if alittle weird, to meet and feel empathy with strangers because we're going through this crazy application process together.

Thanks to SDN, I still have (non-SDN, non-premed) friends. Allow me to explain: since I get to vent all my worries and I get to obsess about med school apps online, I annoy my non-SDN friends less and less. (My non-premed friends really cannot understand why I stress so much...they can't see it 'cause they've never been through a similar process). It has saved some friendships. Thanks, SDN. 😀

Addiction is such an ugly word. 😉 My excuse for surfing the site is that there's nothing better to do at work. Of course, I'm not at work now. Hmmm...maybe you have a point.

I love this place! It's been a love/hate relationship at times, but I recommend it to every premed I know.

Ya, I'm amazed zyprexa, xanax and buspar are not sponsors of SDN.

HAHA, same thing here. Nothing better to do at work 😴 . Too bad I found out about the site a week before my interviews :scared: .

I found out about SDN just a couple of months ago, and honestly it's like I found a treasure chest... really! I mean, I can ask questions about PreMed/MCAT stuff and people out there have some really good answers!
However, it has increased the level of frustration and angst, and because of this I had to go to the ER on Friday. hahaha... (I'm serious). I will/have to over-come such health problems if I want to become a doctor!
Anyhow, yay for SDN!! 🙂

Thanks to SDN I now spend entirely too much time in front of the computer.
