How should I add a summer research experience that I will be starting?

I am applying now and I will be starting my summer research very soon. Im starting my research next tuesday. Should I wait until then and add it to my experience and mark it as "current" experience? or do I just mention it in the supplement or at the interview?

You can submit and add it as a new experience once you start or a couple weeks in once you have a better description of what you’ll be doing.
