How should I explain this?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
damn bro.

1. You should have reached out for help from the university/prof's department/lawyer WAY earlier.

2. Learn how to say NO.

3. I feel like I have bad luck all over me for reading this.

again, damn bro.

Agree. I do need to learn, even if it will result in the loss of my research position and perhaps letter of rec. I did try to take action, I even went to the president of the school who only had the solution in the form of large refund checks. After about two weeks, there was not much left for me to do. They were not going to let me back in, and I just tried to make it through classes. As for the prof, he really only got crazy this finals week, calling me up at night asking to pick him up, and that he has no other options. I should have said fine, you're 55 years old, find your own damn ride to and from places. I'll just switch advisors if I have to and try to come back during summer classes and next year. Just really frustrating, I was should be applying this year, but I need to wait another year now. Everything happened very quickly during the year, so trying to balance appeal letters, meetings with housing, etc. was almost impossible with school.

Thanks
