Looking for information on going on a deployment during vet school. I am currently a medic in the Army Reserves and will likely have the opportunity to deploy during my time in a vet program. How do most schools handle this? Would I pick up where I left off?
How long would deployment be? I know schools have leaves of absence. I would contact the specific school about this.

Every vet school is different with how the respond to leaves of absence. It is up to the academic committee whether they feel you would benefit from restarting if you left for too long or continuing on the following year where you left.

I hope you did note this on your application inside. The committees and the offices that coordinate this are not obligated to respect involuntary deployments otherwise. For voluntary deployments, they are often turned down as that needlessly interrupts training (and if you are on one of the HPSP lines, that office can overrule voluntary deployments but will work with you on involuntary ones).
