I am taking an EMT course over the Fall semester, however it is not through a college/university. Can I list this as an entry for my extracurriculars on AMCAS? I will be volunteering with an EMT squad after being certified so would this be two entries then? I am going to be pausing a few EC's during this semester so I can focus on the EMT class and my other classes so I wanted to show schools that I am actually doing something productive rather than nothing.
This can be an EC and I would list as EMt cert and then the volunteering.

Its the opinion of our faculty that the training hours are not clinical experience. Neither would training for being a scribe. I actually don't see these hours listed a lot on applications; rather the focus is on the actual work hours.

"Extracurricular" implies Not related to coursework. So "Other" would be a better designation on the AMCAS application if you want to discuss the class. The EMT volunteering could go in the same space.

Alternatively, list the EMT volunteering under Volunteer/Community Service-Medical/Clinical and refer to the course in the backstory your narrative provides.

Alternatively, yes, you can use two spaces, but "Extracurricular" would not be the best tag for a class description.
