How should I START!?

I am in the summer after my sophomore year and *I think* I'm going to take the MCAT next year/ summer. I will take a course (princeton review) next year but I have 3 MCAT books laying around that I received from friends. They are :

ExamKrackers: MCAT 101 PASSAGES IN MCAT VERBAL REASONING
Barrons MCAT 12TH EDITION (looks like it teaches everything)
Kaplan MCAT45 "Master the questions that most people get wrong"

I have a quick question about the barrons mcat book...on the cover one of the points says "extensive science and math subject reviews"... since when is there math on the MCAT?

But anyway, ANY TIPS on where to start would be much appreciated. Do I jump right to it and open the book to chapter one? is there something I do first?

Btw Ive taken Chem 1 and 2...Bio 1 and Orgo 1.

^ohh that type of math. I thought they were talking about calculus and that sort. My Mistake!

I also heard people say to stay away from the Kaplan books?

Im pretty sure the barrons book is completely useless. If its the one I borrowed from the library it is nothing like the real MCAT and goes into way too much detail on things that the MCAT wont even ask about. Look up reviews on it.

In my opinion, get the examkrackers/audio osmosis set

yeahhh everyone tells me that Barron is kinda garbage! so what should I do now? Should I just keep reading passages or articles and all that?

It's kinda early to study intensively for it now. I guess you can buy the examkracker audio osmosis and listen to it whenever you have time. And start the habit of reading; it can help you for the VR section.

you should buy the examcrackers set. it's very concise and easy to go through. i'm telling you that it is the best for PS review. it hits every single topic that is on AAMC's published content outline for PS.
