how soon after waitlist to send letter of intent?

so i got waitlisted at my top choice today; and in the email they talked about waitlist movement and said we can send a letter of intent to them. is it too soon to send one and if so, when should i send it? would it be ok to mention my one other acceptance and how the school that waitlisted me is my top choice over the other school?

You can send one now but it probably won't make much 0f difference until the waitlist movement starts in April - spend your time on it and submit it once it's ready, but don't rush it.

yeah they mentioned waitlist movement in april in the email. ill try to send it as soon as i can after i know its well written, thanks!
